The  State Agency Geographic Information Coordination (SAGIC) team is comprised of representatives from state agencies with mutual geospatial interests.  SAGIC’s mission is to promote and improve the collaboration, communication, quality, and sharing of best practices among state agency users and developers of geospatial data and technologies.  SAGIC serves as the primary advisory group and forum for state agency programs, the Geographic Information Officer (GIO), and other interested groups and organizations that deal with the business and/or technical geospatial issues of state government.  If you have an interest in the geospatial activities of Wisconsin state agencies, you are welcome to attend and participate in SAGIC meetings!

WROC           The Wisconsin Regional Orthophotography Consortium (WROC) is a multi-entity group led by seven regional planning commissions.  WROC is planning for high-resolution aerial imagery projects with more than 45 counties in 2010.  Through a U.S. Homeland Security grant, the State of Wisconsin recently allocated $700,000 to assist in the acquisition of statewide aerial imagery.  As more state, regional, and federal partner funding becomes available, higher resolution data and other local datasets may become available to partners.
